Language: Spanish peninsular literature of the 18th and 19th centuries; the prehispanic cultures of Perú

Courses:  I usually teach SPAN 372, Literature of Spain from the 18th  century to the present; SPAN 516F, The pre-Hispanic cultures of Perú, and SPAN 625b, The Spanish Peninsular Realist/Naturalist Novel (graduate level).

Research Activities: Spanish and Latin American literature and civilization; the pre-Hispanic cultures of the Americas

Service/Public Committees: Director of annual Peru Program; Faculty sponsor of FLAGS, the Department of World Literatures and Languages advising center.
