Please check my quarterly office hours and come by for a visit.  For advising, also consult the FLAGS office at UH 201.25.  Please see me if you would like to participate in the annual trip to Peru every spring.  Also, please note I am not on campus during the spring quarter, but I do monitor my email (I am in Peru during this time).

Language: Spanish peninsular literature of the 18th and 19th centuries; the prehispanic cultures of PerĂº

Courses:  I usually teach SPAN 372, Literature of Spain from the 18th  century to the present; SPAN 516F, The pre-Hispanic cultures of PerĂº, and SPAN 625b, The Spanish Peninsular Realist/Naturalist Novel (graduate level).

Research Activities: Spanish and Latin American literature and civilization; the pre-Hispanic cultures of the Americas

Service/Public Committees: Director of annual Peru Program; Faculty sponsor of FLAGS, the Department of World Literatures and Languages advising center.
