Multimedia Language Center Areas

The Tandberg / SANAKO Room and Video Viewing Area

This area of the MLC is where our students use computers to access all digitized audio and/or videofiles for the purpose of completing their workbook activities and assignments. Here, also, students can request foreign films and watch them on individual video monitors.

The Multipurpose Room

In this room, students, professors, and visitors can browse through a Spanish, French, German, or Japanese newspaper, book, or magazine, do independent study of a language, join a conversation group, and receive tutoring among other things.

The smartboard Computer room

Consisting of 28 stations (8 Macs and 20 Dells), students get an opportunity here to further practice their language by using the computers to write essays with MS Word or to supplement their classrom instruction and learning of the language studied with CD-ROMS and/or access to the internet.

The Log in / Log out Station

This device is provided to students for the purpose of keeping an active record of their daily attendance in the MLC.
