Makiko Amaya / Lecturer (part-time)

I am from Tokyo, Japan. Before coming to CSUSB, I taught Japanese to high school students in Australia, and English to junior and senior high school students in Japan. I especially think it is essential to introduce adequate learning strategies to students in order to enhance their self-learning and critical skills.

Courses: Japanese 101; Japanese 102; Japanese 150; Independent Study, FLAN 555

Research Activities: TESOL (Teaching English for the Speakers of Other Languages): Listening Strategies, CALL, Metacognition, etc.
