Aurora Wolfgang, Professor I have been teaching at CSUSB since 1993, the same year I received my Ph.D from New York University. I teach second-, third-, and forth-year French language courses. In addition, I offer a variety of courses on French literature such as Introduction to Literature, Francophone Women Writers, Women and the French Enlightenment, Studies in the Novel, Culture and Identity, and Francophone Film and Culture. Language: French (Literature) Research activities: My main area of research is in seventeenth- and eighteenth-century literature. I focus on women writers and questions of gender in style. I recently published a book, Gender and Voice in the French Novel: 1730-1782 (Aldington: Ashgate, 2004). I have also published on writers such as Françoise de Graffigny, Marie-Jeanne Riccoboni, Germaine de Staël, Marie de Rabutin-Chantal de Sévigné, and Marie-Catherine Desjardins de Villedieu. I am currently working on a translation and critical edition of Jacques Du Bosc’s Nouveau recueil des lettres des dames de ce temps (1635). Service/Public committees: I coordinate the French program.
